Padang BayThe reef starts as a shallow ledge at a depth of ten metres. Swim further to sea, and a slope will take you down to 20 metres, after which a sandy bottom levels out at 40 metres. The slope is dominated by magnificent anemones, black and yellow featherstars and sea squirts. Oriental sweetlips, boxfish and yellow trumpetfish are common on Bali scuba dives here.
On the sand you can see lizardfish or you may be lucky to spot the heavily camouflaged peacock flounder, peering up at you with its two eyes, both on the same side of its flattened head. In the shallows cruise crocodile long toms, or needlefish.

Blue Lagoon 

Location: North of Padang Bai
Visibility: 5-20m
Depths: 1-27m (6-90ft)
Diving Conditions: Currents deeper down, but also suitable for intro divers, night divers and long photographic sessions!
Travel time to site: 2 hours by mini-bus and 10 min. by traditional boat

Underwater Topography: Shallow reefs. Staghorn coral patch reefs start in just 3 m. of water. It then opens out into a haven of bommies, soft leather corals and dancing anemones. The delicate tips of the well-developed plate corals are tipped with purple and blue colouring. Divers can access deeper water by cruising west down the gentle slope and out to the point. The wall drops vertically to around 24 m. This is recommended for more advanced divers.

Marine life: Tiny invertebrate life. Stonefish, large cuttle fish, scorpionfish, damselfish, basslets, silvery baitfish. Brilliantly coloured nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, to large groupers.

Main Attractions: Easy night dive, cuttlefish. Protected site from currents in shallows.

Citizen Point


Citizen Point Divesite, Bali - Central Coast Dive Site Citizen PointThis site has something for everyone, shallow and deep areas to dive, home to old coral bommies hosting crinoids, and table corals attracting a large variety of fish.

Visibility: 5-20m
Depths: 3-30 m (10-100ft)
Diving Conditions: Down currents can occur here. Bagus Marine Dive recommend staying close to a professional Divemaster/instructor and exercise great caution when deep diving.
Travel time to site: 2 hours by mini-bus and 10 min. by traditional boat

Underwater Topography: From the coral gardens to around 23 m. the sandy flats open up to smaller, perfectly formed coral heads.

Marine life: Groupers, angelfish, lionfish, stingrays, silvery tuna, mackerel, and the wobbegong sharks.
Bali International Diving Professionals have seen these as early as May. Fish love the current and you will encounter a mass of creatures at tide changes.

Main Attractions: Drift diving, large marine life, shallow to deep dives teeming with fish - something for every diver.
