Balinese believes that the Mount Agung is a place of gods. It is the highest and the holiest mountain in Bali. You can attempt to climb the active volcano to admire the unforgettable sunrise over the island.
It stands 3,142 meter from the sea level, this stratovolcano is the highest point on the island. It influencing the surrounding’s area, the clouds come from the west and Agung takes their water so that the west is lush and green and the east dry and barren. Perfect months for hiking will be on July – October, please be with a guide because the route is long, difficult, and dangerous. Do try if you are quite adventurous and love to hike.
